Traffic electronics

Pedestrian crossing tactile motor

Our tactile motor assembly drives a rotating tactile indicator for visually impaired pedestrians at controlled crossings. It is designed for integration into pedestrian push-button equipment.

The compact version places the PCB at the side of the motor assembly, helping it fit into enclosures where internal space is limited. An enable input and fault output support connection to the traffic control system.

Key features

Rotating tactile indication

Consistent rotational output provides tactile feedback during the appropriate pedestrian signal phase.

Compact mechanical arrangement

A reduced footprint and side-mounted PCB support integration into compact pedestrian units.

Flexible supply range

10.8–58 V AC/DC operation supports a range of equipment power supplies.

Control and monitoring

Enable and fault connections provide interfaces for the surrounding control equipment.

Integration and available options

The compact motor and side-mounted PCB help accommodate the assembly within pedestrian push-button housings. The enable input and fault output support connection to the controller, and we can assist with mounting, indicator and enclosure integration.

The design focuses on repeatable rotating indication, durability and long-term operation in pedestrian crossing equipment. We can provide environmental and connection information for the selected assembly.

Our support covers the relevant TOPAS 2508 tactile-equipment requirements and the UKCA or other compliance documentation applicable to the assembly and destination market.

Options and customisation

We can review mounting and controller-interface options, including adaptations for different push-button enclosures and tactile indicator arrangements.
